I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA along with two brothers. Our Mother Teresita Angelina Herrera raised us Catholic. During my later years I strayed away from the Catholic Faith. Then I met my wife Lorraine she was raised as a muslim. My beautiful wife and I have been married for 22 years and have 5 children.
I was employed by the Nuclear Power Plant where I specialized in heavy machinery as a crane operator.
My spiritual walk began in 2004 when I joined a Christian Car Club and accepted Jesus Christ. I assisted in events to feed the homeless, distribute clothing and fundraising. In 2008 the family joined First New Life Missionary Baptist Church and I was baptized by Bishop Henry Barnwell and Pastor Aubrey Barnwell. I served as a Spanish translator for First New Life Church.
When asked to consider being a First New Life Trustee Board Member, I had to seek the Lord. I needed answers from God which led me to Matthew 7:7. I bring to the Trustee Board my word, my talents and abilities to do what I am asked to do. My word is my bond.
